Children
Children's vision is extremely important and early detection and treatment of eye conditions is essential for their vision to develop properly.

As one of the few practices within the Midlands to offer Behavioural Optometry we are specialists in assessing and treating children‘s visual developmental problems. These developmental problems could affect your child’s learning.
Regular Eye Examinations
We recommend that a child has their eyes tested regularly from the age of three. The cost of this is fully covered by the NHS who pay for children's examinations up to the age of nineteen (when still in full-time education). You can also receive a contribution towards the cost of spectacles should they be needed.
Children's Corner
We have an excellent range of children's frames for toddlers, to children through to tennagers. These include:
- SUPERDRY
- ANIMAL
- MANISH ARORA
- SKECHERS
- MAYHEM
- EYE STUFF
We aim to make any visit to our practice as enjoyable as possible and we have a range of tests each designed to suit the age of the child.
If you are concerned in any way about your child‘s vision you shouldn’t hesitate to make an appointment. Typically problems can be
- excessive blinking
- squinting
- going cross eyed
- complaining of not being able to read the blackboard at school or
- holding books at a very close range.
If your child is showing any of the symptoms listed above please contact us or click on the Optometry button in the menu to read more about what to look for.
We also provide aftercare and repair services for the scrapes that children and their spectacles get into.
Children go Free
We provide an extensive range of stylish frames that are fully covered by the NHS voucher.
Most frames come in different colours and sizes so there will always be one to suit your child.
